Going Bush!

When Maya was little, we used to go on bushwalks all the time, but as time has gone by I’ve gotten older and lazier, had more babies, become more unfit and made more excuses and of late our weekend excursions have mainly involved picnics in the park where I sit on my butt while they play in the playground. We’re lucky enough to live less than a kilometre from the Lane Cove National Park which has some lovely family-friendly walks, so inspired by Emily’s gorgeous pics last week, on Sunday we decided to get off our butts and go bush…

Oh by the end of it I was wishing I was the one being carried too! And you are so right, I remember spending hours in the good ole Kiwi bush as a kid. There are fewer nasties to look out for over there!

It was hilarious – I’m so glad I caught that moment as it is a classic Chiara thing to do. That kid just has to see how everything works!

It sure did! Pity we’ve spent the rest of the week struck down with gastro as I felt so motivated and energised after our walk!

I think we’re going to try another one this weekend! There are some nice walks around my parents’ place too and they walk most weekends so we might tag along.
